The Story of a Picture

In this photograph I appear and it means a lot to me because at that moment I was fulfilling a dream that I had from a very young age. For me, music has always been my greatest company every day and singing is what I love to do the most. I think that between 2010 and 2013 talent shows were very fashionable and I loved watching television and I always dreamed of being one day in one of them and enjoying that moment and if I could advance as much as I could. Well, that dream came true, in 2022 I was going through very bad times due to family problems, I also came to live in Santiago to study my second year of journalism and the possibility of auditioning for a singer impersonation program arose. My favorite piece of technology

 For me deciding my favorite piece of technology is easy, the smartphone for me is the ultimate. Since I was 10 years old I have had a phone and I have rarely used it to play. I feel that the phone is a great tool and it must be used responsibly, because if it is not controlled it can take up a lot of time and make us less productive in our daily lives. Whether in studies or at work, even in our family life. I always recommend to my family that they have schedules and more with my little brothers of 8 and 5 years old, in order to encourage them to do more things and not just be in front of the phone all day, I also think it is important to use it as a tool that help us learn new things, for example I use YouTube a lot on my phone to learn about vehicle mechanics or construction, that's why I believe that the smartphone is the greatest creation and I hope that we all use it in a good way.                  By the way! Why did I choose my major?

 In the year 2021 and in the middle of the pandemic, I entered to study journalism at the University of Chile. Since I was little I have always liked to communicate with others, to talk, that for me is the best. Since I was little I always liked television and its world so funny, that was an inspiration for me when I was about 8 years old. I remember laughing too much at the morning show hosted by Felipe Camiroaga on TVN and dreaming of one day being the one there, giving those who were watching TV a good time. Despite the fact that since I was 8 years old I loved that world, after leaving high school I entered to study occupational therapy, a somewhat new career in Chile, but which also allowed me to interact with people, talk, have fun and help them. Who Am I?

Hello, my name is Vicente Aguilar, I am 22 years old, I currently live in Santiago de Chile and I am studying Journalism at the University of Chile. Most of my life I have lived in the south of Chile, wandering between the Bio Bio region and La Araucanía. Coming to study in Santiago has been quite hard, since due to family problems I have to constantly return to the south to help my family and this means that I cannot give 100% at the University, nor enjoy my new city as I would like, but I know that this will change.
